We are a queer DIY film festival based in London.
Set up in 2012, our mission is to showcase the best DIY, low and no budget film from the LGBTQIA+ community.
The festival is part of Wotever World, a queer arts, performance and activism collective based in London. A regular programme of events take place at Bar Wotever, held weekly at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern.
Since our launch in 2012, the festival has grown from a one-evening event to a year long programme of screenings and workshops, culminating in a 2 day festival. 2014 and 2015 saw us taking up residence in the beautiful Cinema Museum, while 2016’s event was held between the 3-4 September at DIY Space for London.
We screen the best (and cheapest) film from queer film makers, professionals and enthusiastic amateurs and show that you don’t need a gazillion quid to make a cracking film. We’re also constantly working towards greater inclusivity and accessibility and believe that film making and viewing should be for everyone, regardless of your budget.
Although the full length festival is currently on haitus we are currently collaborating with other queer exhibitors to run accessible film screenings. Check out Screenings 2018 for news of our upcoming screening An Unashamed Claim To Visbility: shorts at the intersections of queerness and dis/ability, curated in collaboration with Fringe! Queer Arts Fest and The Queer Film Network.
